Something I made about 5 years ago- I got a blacksmith to make me a dagger blade, and made it into a historical style of knife called a bollock knife for obvious reasons. Popular in the middle ages, some found on the Mary Rose were surprisingly accurate anatomical models, complete with veins! The best I've seen had a pearl set in the end...
Handle here is made from yew wood, which has a lovely contrast of colours between the red heartwood and the yellow sapwood. Photos by  |
